Level 5 Branding: Module Evaluation

I feel like I've learnt a lot this module. I finally figured out how to successfully merge my preferred style whilst advertising well as my abilities in others.

My personal branding I feel was very effective this year. I have a habit of the less time I spend on design the better it is. I incorporated by own handwriting alongside my interests. It was clear and concise and I feel represent me and my style well.

I enjoyed Brief 2. The idea of having to set up a studio was incredibly challenging but helpful. It was refreshing to be left with the tools to do as we pleased. I also enjoyed the group work element.
I personally find I work a lot better in groups as opposed to on my own, especially with larger briefs. The ability to set and designate tasks helped with abilities when it comes to group and one on one communication. I liked that the final product was an amalgamation of many ideas. The brief was especially helpful, as setting up a studio is something I perhaps hope to do in the far future. Though the details and stress of this brief has turned my off the idea, it was still nice to experience the process.

In all honesty, I wish I had delved more into self-improvement this year. I have spent so much time trying to finish briefs and do main work that I gave no love to the process of me as a graphic designer. I feel like only now, at the end of the year, I'm getting the hang of this and how important process is not only for myself but for work. When dragging out projects, the outcome becomes worse and worse.

Next year I would like to visit more exhibitions, someting that time and funds has limited me on this year. I would like to invest more in myself as a designer, rather than killing myself to meet deadlines.
